LCD Side Screen Repair

The glass layer of a LCD in often unprotected. A knock, or pressure on the screen breaks the glass.
Before you bring it to the repair shop, check all the other functions of the camera by using the AV-cables.
If there are other issues with the camera, it might be an uneconomical repair as these screen replacements can be very expensive.

Camcorder Tape Drive

Tape drive – Here, repairs can be done on component level. However, modern Mini-DV tape drives are replaced as a complete unit.

Disc Drive

Disc-Drive: If you experience any issues such as ‘won’t read discs, most likely the whole disc drive needs to be replaced.

Hard Disc Drive, HDD

Hard drive – The HDD is a no serviceable item and needs to be replaced if defective. Any data recovery might be possible from a specialized company.
